Jennifer Rocha | Program Associate
As the Career and Alumni Program Associate, Jennifer supports our scholars with leadership support, Alumni engagement, and career readiness. She ensures that our scholars are graduating with great opportunities for their careers.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a bilingual certification and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration. Jennifer brings strong experience in student attrition, academic programming, and alumni engagement. She has worked with TRIO Talent Search at UTRGV, served as an early education teacher in Los Fresnos ISD, and most recently held the role of Academic Program Coordinator for the BBA Program at the McCombs School of Business at UT Austin.
At McCombs, Jennifer developed and led initiatives to support at-risk and first generation students, including structured student check ins, tutoring support, and expanded academic programming. She also taught a large freshman course and delivered programming focused on financial literacy, mental health resources, and student support services. She also taught a class in the Spring that helped train orientation leadership to support freshmen during orientation and first year experiences.
Jennifer has experience onboarding students, coordinating company visits, and partnering with study abroad programs to take students to New York and London. As a first generation Latina from Brownsville, Texas, she brings both professional expertise and lived experience that strongly align with HGLF’s mission.
