Philanthropic Director
As Philanthropic Director, Nikki leads the strategy, process, and communication for HGLF grant-making. Nikki joined The Foundation in June of 2021 after a 27 year career at Bank of America where she led the bank’s philanthropic efforts in Austin and San Antonio and served as the bank’s Austin President for eight years.
Nikki currently serves on the board of Leadership Austin. She has previously served as Chair of the Board of the Austin Chamber, Communities in Schools Central Texas, San Antonio Education Partnership, and the advisory board of Dell Seton Medical Center. She has also served as Chair of Education for the Austin Chamber and Austin Area Research Organization (AARO) and on the board of Foundation Communities. In 2016 she was recognized with the Austin Business Journal Profiles in Power award and in 2010 as the Austin Association of Fundraising Professionals Outstanding Community Affairs Executive of the year. She has also received the E3 Alliance Catalyst for Change Award and the Corozón Award from Con Mi Madre.
A graduate of Auburn University, Nikki lives in San Antonio with her husband Mitch Spector.
