Tabitha Venezia | Student Success Officer

Tabitha Venezia, M.Ed., serves as the Student Success Officer for the Hector and Gloria López Foundation (HGLF), where she plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission to ensure that López Scholars graduate on time, without debt, and prepared for economic mobility. With more than 13 years of experience in higher education, Tabitha brings a deep understanding of student development and institutional collaboration. In her role, she oversees the implementation of leadership strategies, analyzes academic progress, and builds strong university partnerships across Texas to maximize student outcomes.

A proud first-generation college graduate and Latina leader, Tabitha earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Sociology from the University of Arizona and a Master’s degree in Higher Education from Arizona State University. Tabitha has held diverse roles spanning across residential life, academic advising, career services, transfer admissions, and student engagement. Before joining HGLF, she served as the Director of Student Leadership at Texas A&M University-San Antonio, where she led multiple scholarship and leadership initiatives, including the López Scholars Program. Tabitha has worked across a range of institution types including public universities, private liberal arts colleges, and Hispanic-Serving Institution giving her a broad and nuanced understanding of the student experience. Previously she has worked at institutions such as Arizona State University, California State University Sacramento, The University of Arizona and Trinity University.
